Descriptions

When you first review the features of the Azimut 55S, you wonder if you’ve accidently found a Zillow listing for a home. It features 3+1 bedrooms, 2+1 baths, several large windows, a full garage, central air, and is energy-efficient. All of this luxury, plus sporty performance, all rolled up into Azimut’s newest sport yacht – the amazing 55S.

Swinging Transom

The transom swings down and out to form a huge rear swim platform, and also reveals the garage door. Simply open it and roll out the tender for effortless launch and recovery. With this feature there is no need to dedicate the entire swim platform to house a dinghy.

Luxurious Cockpit

Three steps into the main cockpit is the vast, open lounge with comfortable, luxurious seating wrapped completely across the transom to the port side. An electrically controlled large, teak table with two telescoping legs nestles in the middle of the area. Simply push a button and when fully raised, the table creates the perfect spot for al fresco dining for six people. Push the button again, and the table can fully lower. Simply install the filler cushion to create an enormous rear sun pad.

The spacious cockpit features a full wrap-around seating, and another electrically-adjustable table. With yet another push of a button, the large overhead sun shade is deployed, extending rearward from the salon hard top, protecting the entire rear cockpit from the mid-day glare. Seamlessly flowing from the cockpit, the main salon offers comfortable seating, a retractable big screen television, and an enormous overhead sun roof.

Open Galley

The glass helm is up front on the starboard side, and is dominated by a pair of 15.4-inch multi-function displays, a large chrome-on-black Azimut steering wheel, and the Volvo Penta IPS engine controls with joystick. The pair of side-by-side, electrically adjustable bucket seats with flip-up bolsters gives the driver and a companion outstanding visibility and all-day comfort.

Guest Suite

The VIP guest suite is located just a few steps down from the main salon and large privacy windows provide natural light. The suite includes a private entry to the day head, although it is shared with a second guest cabin. This cabin includes twin berths and is located to starboard.

Owner’s Suite

The spacious owner’s suite spans the entire beam, with a diagonally positioned bed and huge privacy windows for natural light. There is a large recessed area with the dressing table, which doubles as a private dinette. This intimate area is the perfect place to enjoy a quite cup of coffee or share a private breakfast. There is also an ensuite head complete with a full-sized walk-in shower, beautifully appointed sink, as well as plenty of storage.

Crew Quarters

In addition to the guest accommodations, there are crew quarters located in the bow and accessed through the foredeck. It includes a 1 bedroom and bath. If you don’t want a crew, this space is perfect for children’s quarters or extra storage space.

Navigation

In addition to the luxurious appointments and well-designed features, the Azimut 55S is a delight to drive. The Triple Volvo Penta 600s generate a combined 1,305 horsepower, and provide more than enough torque reach speeds of more than 40 mph. Volvo Penta’s GPS-enabled joystick control makes docking and close-quarter maneuvering easy as can be. The joystick effortlessly operates the steering and throttles, making it a breeze to slide into even the tightest parking spots.

This boat is also includes seakeeper gyro stabilization, making it one of the most equipped 55s boats on the market. With only 120 hours on the motors it is practically show-room perfect!
